Whether you are interested in performing in front of the camera, editing footage, writing the story, or running the show, the Broadcasting Program provides you with the education, training, and experience you need to be ready for an exciting career in the media industry.
The student graduating with a major in broadcasting will be able to produce a journalistic video story using professional video cameras, AVID editing systems, will be able to operate studio production equipment associated with live news broadcasts and will be able to write, produce and direct live studio productions and news magazine feature stories. Broadcasting students receive hands-on instruction in studios at , and campus radio station WGLZ.

Broadcasting Program Requirements
1. All students must meet COM requirements of an overall GPA of 2.5 and maintain a GPA of at least 2.5 to take upper level courses.
2. A minimum of 40 upper-level courses must successfully be completed.
