Wheeling’s National Road Corridor
Wheeling’s National Road Corridor, spans approximately 16 miles east to west, across Ohio County, county of West Liberty University. Historically, the National Road was the first major improved highway in the United States and is approximately 620 miles in length and moves west from Cumberland, Maryland to St. Louis, Missouri.
Wheeling’s National Road Corridor and the neighborhoods adjacent to it have been a vital part of the city of Wheeling for generations. These areas include restaurants, shopping, performance spaces, nightlife, and plenty of other services West Liberty students can take advantage of during time in between class and studying.
